If your design calls for a solid character/rustic grade plank flooring,
consider the "American Country Collection" by Vintage Lumber.
Whether the style is Country, Contemporary or Colonial choose from up
to 9 species and/or grades of unfinished solid, ¾" real wood
flooring. Since 1973 Vintage Lumber Company has carefully salvaged lumber
from derelict agricultural buildings across the mid-Atlantic region and
re-milled this lumber into functional random width flooring, with exceptional
appeal and rustic beauty.
Our experience in the selection and grading of un-graded antique lumber
enables us to mill the lower grades of native Appalachian hardwoods into
functional and beautiful, solid plank flooring with much of the natural
appeal of antique wood flooring at a lower price. Milled in a random width
format, these rustic wood floors typically contain such grade characteristics
as tight and possibly star cracked knots, varying color range, some mineral
intrusion, occasional worm holes or tracks and some tight contained cracks.
All 3"-8" flooring widths are tongue and grooved, back relieved,
end-matched packaged into nested bundles. Wider widths are also available.
The "random" look of a properly installed and finished Vintage
Lumber rustic floor is not by accident. This format not only creates a
beautiful floor with a traditional flair but also helps to fully utilize
a valuable natural resource. For more information contact Vintage Lumber
